What is the Audubon Gentilly PK3 match? 

Audubon Gentilly’s PK3 program received their state licensure in November 2019. In order to equitably make those seats available to children in the 2019-2020 school year, NOLA Public Schools will hold a lottery using the same eligibility requirements, priorities and randomized order as the regular enrollment lottery.

How is this match different from the Main Round OneApp opening November 22, 2019?

This match is for families with students who were 3 years old on or before September 30, 2019 and who live in Orleans Parish. This match will fill seats for January 2020. The OneApp opening on November 22, 2019 will fill seats for students wishing to begin at the school for the 2020-2021 school year, beginning in August.

How can I apply?

Apply by submitting your verification documents to a Family Resource Center by 3pm on 12/20/2019. See below for the application form (must be submitted on paper to a Family Resource Center) including the documents required to verify

Tuition only applicants do not need to supply proof of income, but must verify age and residency.

When is the application due?

Applications must be received on or before December 20, 2019. Submit documents shown here to a Family Resource Center by 3:00 pm on December 20, 2019.

When will applicants be notified?

Applicants will be notified of their placement status the week of January 6th, 2020.

When will school start?

The first day of school for Audubon Gentilly PK3 will be January 22, 2020.

When will students who are placed in Audubon Gentilly PK3 register?

Audubon Gentilly will register new students beginning the day following notification.

Will I lose my current seat in a publicly-funded PK3 program if I am assigned by this match?

Students with current placements in a OneApp participating PK3 program in Orleans Parish will lose their seats if assigned to the Audubon Gentilly PK3 program. Do not apply to the program if you would prefer for your child to continue to attend their current OneApp participating PK3 school.

What are the priorities for this program?

Tuition PK3

Eligible students are New Orleans Residents who are three years old on before September 30, 2019.

Seats will be assigned in the following order:

1) Siblings of current Audubon Gentilly students or children of current Audubon Gentilly staff; 2) Students who live within ½ mile of the school for up to 25% of seats; 3) Applicants who reside in 70122, 70124, 70148, 70126 (West of canal) for the remaining geography seats (a maximum of 50% of seats will be prioritized based on Geography); 4) All other applicants

Scholarship PK3

Eligible students are New Orleans Residents who are three years old on before September 30, 2019 who meet income eligibility requirements.

Seats will be assigned in the following order:

1) Students with an IEP other than gifted or talented; 2) Siblings of current Audubon Gentilly students or children of current Audubon Gentilly staff; 3) Students who live within ½ mile of the school for up to 25% of seats; 3) Applicants who reside in 70122, 70124, 70148, 70126 (West of canal) for the remaining geography seats (a maximum of 50% of seats will be prioritized based on Geography); 4) All other applicants

How do I know if I am eligible for the Scholarship program?

Families whose household income does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible for Scholarship seats at Audubon Gentilly PK3. See the LA4, NSECD guidelines in the chart at the top of this page.

After verifying your age, residency, and income at a Family Resource Center, your eligibility will be confirmed via email. If you have applied for a Scholarship seat AND a Tuition seat, but are ineligible for the Scholarship program, you will still be considered for the Tuition seat. You must have verified income eligibility in order to be considered for a Scholarship seat.

How do I know if I am eligible for the Tuition program?

Families living in Orleans Parish with a student who was 3 on or before September 30, 2019 are eligible for the Tuition seats at Audubon Gentilly PK 3.

After verifying your age, and residency at a Family Resource Center, your eligibility will be confirmed via email within three business days. Families must verify age and residency at a Family Resource Center to be considered for tuition seats.

What if I need to make changes to an application after I have submitted it?

If you need to make changes to your application, you must complete a new application. The most recent application on file for any student will be used in the match.

How do I verify my child’s status as a sibling of a current Audubon Gentilly student?

Visit Audubon Gentilly to provide documentation of your children’s shared residence or shared guardianship status on or before December 20, 2019. Contact the school for more details.

How do I verify my status as a current staff member at Audubon Gentilly student?

We will report to Audubon Gentilly that you have indicated that you are eligible for this priority. Audubon Gentilly will verify this prior to the match. Contact the school for more details.

How is my child’s Orleans Parish IEP verified?

The Louisiana Department of Education will verify your child’s IEP with their database. This priority does not require action by the parent, but will be investigated by NOLA Public Schools.
