We the faculty, staff, and student body of St. Peter Claver Catholic School, believe that the mission of the school is to provide a Catholic Christian education, to form a worshipping community which exemplifies Christian beliefs and values, to affirm our African American cultural heritage, and to instill in all a sense of responsibility so that we may become responsible citizens of the local and global community.

Our school Motto is "Educating the whole child; Something we do well!" and so we form our students by gearing our curriculum to the Louisiana State Standards and in 3rd-7th by having them participate in Ministries (Choir, Liturgical Dance, African Drumming, Altar Servers, Liturgy Planning, Mission Development, and Hospitality), Spanish, scheduled library time, physical education, health classes, Art, Music, Computer, Student Government, Cheerleading, Drill Team, Yearbook Club
