Mission Statement / Programmatic Model:
The Mission of St. John Lutheran Church and School is to share the grace and love of Jesus through worship, education and service to the world around us. The purpose of the school is to provide an excellent Christ-centered educational program in which children are given an opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically, developing their God-given potential with the help of dedicated and qualified educators.
Most New Orleans public schools are charter schools, public schools governed by non-profit boards. Each board is given a contract to operate their charter school for a number of years. When the contract is up for renewal, the Orleans Parish School Board or Louisiana Department of Education uses school performance to determine if the contract should be renewed. If the school hasn’t demonstrated acceptable performance, it may close at the end of the school year, or be taken over by a new non-profit board.Letter Grade: #N/A
