Mission Statement / Programmatic Model:
ReNEW Accelerated High School (RAHS) has had over 465 students ages 16-21 earn a high school diploma. Students can earn 6 credits per semester to graduate in half the time as a traditional high school. Our smaller, technology-infused classes, access to three career pathways and personalized college counseling ensure individuals can define and achieve their own version of success.
Most New Orleans public schools are charter schools, public schools governed by non-profit boards. Each board is given a contract to operate their charter school for a number of years. When the contract is up for renewal, the Orleans Parish School Board or Louisiana Department of Education uses school performance to determine if the contract should be renewed. If the school hasn’t demonstrated acceptable performance, it may close at the end of the school year, or be taken over by a new non-profit board.Letter Grade: F
